Our History - Building Innovation Inc.

History

Building Innovation Inc. was founded in 1997 to address the growing demand for improving energy efficiency of mechanical and electrical systems in existing buildings.  Our early emphasis was on providing professional assessment and design services to support the performance contracting industry where energy savings targets were contractually guaranteed.

The firm quickly developed a strong reputation for innovative designs and depth of knowledge in mechanical design, and digital controls, and began expanding its service offering to clients using traditional design-bid-build approaches.

Over the years, the firm continued to grow and expand, providing a complete range of assessment, design, and commissioning services.  In 2010, the firm opened a second branch office in Hamilton, Ontario to better serve a growing client base in western Ontario.

Building Innovation currently enjoys a reputation as a leader in service, depth of technical knowledge, and contract administration.
